CSU Bakersfield's Moore Named Men's Hoops Player of the Week

• CSU Bakersfield senior Taze Moore has been selected the Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for January 11-17.

• Moore is the first ‘Runner to earn the weekly honor.

• Moore, a 6-5 guard/forward, led CSU Bakersfield to a road sweep against Hawai‘i with an all-around performance. He averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

• The Southaven, Miss. native shot 47.1% (8-of-17) from the floor and 80% (8-of-10) at the free throw line. He also connected on both of his three-point attempts.

• Moore registered 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists and a steal, narrowly missing a double-double in the 60-55 victory Friday.

• In Saturday’s rematch, Moore posted 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal in an 83-72 victory.

• CSU Bakersfield improved to 5-1 in Big West play and 9-4 overall. The ‘Runners lead all conference schools in both win categories.

• Moore has scored in double figures in six straight games
