• Long Beach State junior Justina King powered the league-leading Beach to a series sweep over Cal State Fullerton last weekend, earning her Big West Player of the Week honors.

• The guard started the series with a 13-point, five-steal, two-assist performance in 31 minutes against the Titans, turning it over just once.

• King was even better in a tight win in game two, recording 21 points while playing all 40 minutes. She was on attack mode all game, making 12 of 16 free throw attempts. She also only committed only one turnover.

• King’s strong play helped the Beach to their best start in conference action (6-0) since the 2005-06 season.
