Gaucho Duo Collects Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

• Shaelan Murison notched two game-winning goals to help push UC Santa Barbara to a 4-0-0 start to the 2018 season.

• The junior forward/midfielder scored goals in wins over Boise State (3-0) and Brown (1-0), extending her scoring streak to three straight matches.

• Murison scored in the 31st minute against the Broncos, curling a perfectly placed shot off the inside of the far post.

• In a defensive battle against the Bears, Murison’s goal at the 3:54 mark held up for the victory.  Murison one-timed a pass from Mallory Hromatko into the upper right corner for paydirt.

• Murison peppered Boise State and Brown with a combined nine shots, including five on frame.  She has scored four goals over the last three contests.

• Shifted to defender for the Gauchos, Hromatko aided two shutout efforts and contributed a game-winning assist.

• It is the second career honor for Hromatko, who was named Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 26, 2015.

• In a 1-0 win over Brown, Hromatko sent a cross from the endline to the left side of the penalty area, which found Shaelan Murison for a one-timer and the game’s only goal.

• Hromatko spearheaded a defensive unit that allowed just a combined 14 shots – and only seven on goal – in 180 minutes of action against Boise State and Brown.
