BEACH VOLLEYBALL PAIRS TEAM OF THE WEEK

 • Tia Miric and Mariah Whalen won all of their matches at the GCU Tournament in Phoenix over the weekend, bringing the No. 6 Mustangs to a 7-2 record. 

 • On Friday the junior duo played Houston Baptist (RV) and No. 7 Grand Canyon where they won in straight sets. Saturday, they faced Abilene Christian and finished with two 21-12 marks for the win.   

 • Against Houston Baptist, the pair went 21-17, 22-20 to give Cal Poly its first clean sweep of the season. 

• The duo then faced ranked opponent, No. 7 Grand Canyon, defeating the Lopes in 21-14, 21-18.

 • Miric and Whalen are now 8-1 as a pair so far this season, a team-best. Their performance in the sand has pushed the Mustangs to a five-match win streak.
