For the second time in a three-week period, UC Santa Barbara senior Dominika Paterova earned Big West Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week accolades.

Paterova helped UCSB record its biggest win of the year, a 4-3 decision at No. 32 San Diego in which she clinched the decisive point.

With the match tied 3-3, Paterova dropped the first set at No. 3 singles against Torero counterpart Gemma Garcia. But she came storming back to take the 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 win.

Paterova also contributed to the USD win at No. 1 doubles, where she and partner Anastasia Goncharova doubled up Solymar Colling and Helena Francati, 6-3, helping the Gauchos clinch the all-important point.

In a 4-2 loss to No. 43 Washington State, Paterova earned one of the points with her 6-3, 6-3 win against Savanna Ly-Nguyen.
