• CSUN senior Megan Stevens turned in a monster performance at the GCU Purple Classic to capture her second career Big West Softball Field Player of the Week honor.
• Stevens hit .692 (9-for-13) with a .706 on-base percentage and 1.692 slugging percentage to lead the Matadors to a 4-0 tournament record.
• Seven of her nine hits went for extra bases, including four doubles and three home runs.
• Stevens scored seven times and notched 10 RBI, accounting for half of CSUN’s 34 runs against Drake, Utah State twice and host Grand Canyon.
• The outfielder homered in three consecutive games, driving in four apiece in wins over Drake (7-4) and Utah State (8-7).
• In a rematch against the Aggies, Stevens went deep again to lead CSUN to a run-rule 11-3 victory. She finished that game 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI.
• She also walked three times for the week.

SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

• Cal Poly sophomore Krystyna Allman capped off an impressive performance at the Silicon Valley Classic with her first career Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week citation.
• The southpaw posted a 3-0 record with a 0.32 ERA in 21.2 innings.
• She struck out 18 against just six walks.
• Allman fanned eight Colorado State hitters in a complete game 2-1 victory in the tournament opener. She allowed just one unearned run in the outing.
• The Castro Valley, Calif., native combined with Dakota Casper on a one-hit shutout during 12-0, five-inning victory against California Baptist. Allman threw two innings of one-hit relief.
• She tossed the final four and two-thirds innings with five strikeouts to help Cal Poly come-from-behind to defeat host Santa Clara, 4-3, on Saturday.
• In her third start of the tournament, Allman went the distance in Sunday’s 4-1 win over Boise State, scattering eight hits, striking out two and not allowing an earned run.

SOFTBALL FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Hawai‘i second baseman Rachel Sabourin secured her first career Big West Softball Freshman Player of the Week award after earning all-tournament honors at the Hawai‘i Invitational.
• The rookie had five hits in nine at-bats, scored once and drove in a run as she played in four of the five games.
• Sabourin also walked and stole a base while playing impeccable defense, posting no errors in eight total chances.
• She started the week with a career-high three hits in four at-bats against Portland State in a 7-5 win.
• Sabourin also singled in both games against Kansas City, helping produce 5-1 and 3-2 wins.
