Heidegger Named To Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

• Max Heidegger earned Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades for the second time in his career as the UC Santa Barbara senior averaged 22.0 points in a pair of conference wins.

• The 6-foot-3 guard collected game-high point totals of 27 against Cal State Fullerton and 17 versus UC Davis to help the Gauchos move into sole possession of second place in the Big West standings.

• Heidegger also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 41.7% (5-of-12) from distance.

• In UCSB’s 75-66 win at CSF – the team’s third road win in conference play – Heidegger’s 27 points came on 8-of-16 shooting, including 3-of-5 from three-point range. He also was a regular at the free throw line, taking 12 attempts and making eight.

• With the Gauchos trailing by two points, 59-57 with 6:54 to go in the game, Heidegger sparked his team by scoring 10 of its final 18 to hold on for the nine-point win.

• Heidegger added seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes against the Titans.

• UCSB overtook UC Davis in the standings in Saturday’s 70-56 win. Heidegger hit two more triples en route to his 17-point night – both three-point baskets came in the final five minutes of the game after the Aggies took a late one-point lead.

• He added four assists in the win. In 72 minutes of playing time over the two games, Heidegger had nine assists against just one turnover.
