• Sophomore Alexandre Nsakanda posted his first career Big West Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week award as he led UC Irvine to a season-opening victory over No. 10 Princeton.
• The 6-foot-4 opposite tallied a match-best 11 kills to go with two aces, three digs and two blocks as the Anteaters won in straight sets.
• Nsakanda hit .500 (11-1-20) while averaging 3.67 kills, 1.00 digs, 0.67 blocks and 0.67 aces per set.
• Nsakanda helped the eighth-ranked Anteaters win the last NCAA men’s volleyball match of the decade and the first of the 2020 season for any of the nation’s teams.

• UC Irvine senior Scott Stadick collected his eighth career Big West Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award as he dominated at the net in his team’s season-opening sweep of Princeton.
• The 7-foot middle blocker tallied six total blocks in the 25-23, 25-15, 25-20 victory over the 10th-ranked Tigers. He had two solos and four block assists for a 2.00 average.
• Stadick added three digs and an ace, while hitting .556 (6-1-9).
• He averaged 2.00 blocks, 2.00 kills and 1.00 digs.

GUILHERME VOSS, HAWAI‘I • MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Guilherme Voss of Hawai‘i is the Big West Men’s Volleyball Freshman Player of the Week as he helped his squad to a pair of season-opening victories.
• The 6-foot-7 middle blocker averaged 1.00 kills and 0.80 blocks per set in his first two career matches as UH swept Charleston on back-to-back nights.
• Voss hit .500 (5-1-8) overall with three kills in his debut match and two more in the rematch.
• He had three kills with a block and a dig in his debut, hitting .400 overall. He tallied two kills on .667 hitting with three blocks in the second match.
