Triple-Double Leads Harkless To Men's Hoops Honor Roll

• CSUN sophomore Elijah Harkless earned his first career Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award after producing the first triple-double in school history.

• The 6-foot-4 guard notched 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to help the Matadors defeat Saint Katherine, 109-75, in the final non-conference game of the season.

• The 22 points and 10 assists were career-highs for Harkless, who collected the first triple-double by a Big West player since TJ Shorts II of UC Davis on Feb. 15, 2018.

• Harkless scored 13 of his 22 in the second half to help CSUN pull away from Saint Katherine. He also had four steals and a blocked shot in 38 minutes.

• The Rialto native also contributed to CSUN’s 93-82 win over Morgan State on New Year’s Eve. He posted a then-career high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 33 minutes of action.

• Harkless shot 52.0% (13-of-25) from the field and 78.9% (15-of-19) from the free throw line for the week.

• He averaged 21.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists for the week.

• Harkless has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in four of the last six contests.
