• UC Davis freshman Ezra Manjon earned his first career Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award as he played a key role in a pair of conference wins.
• The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in closely contested Aggie road victories over Long Beach State (85-82) and CSUN (66-62).
• Manjon shot 50.0% overall (12-of-24), 83.3% from three (5-of-6) and 85.7% at the free throw line (6-of-7) for the week.
• Against the Beach, he scored 19 points to go along with four rebounds, four assists and a steal. He made six of his 11 floor shots, including a pair of three-pointers in 34 minutes.
• He followed with 16 points, six rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot in the win over the Matadors. He knocked down all three of his three-point attempts, setting a career-high in the process.
• The two wins helped the Aggies all the way from last place in the conference into third.
• Manjon has started all 19 games for the Aggies, ranking second on the team in scoring (11.4 ppg) and tops in assists (3.8 apg)
• Manjon has scored in double figures in four straight games and in five of the last six.
