• Junior Jolie Rasmussen made quite the impression in her first matches for Hawai‘i, collecting Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week accolades as a key cog in a pair of wins of nationally ranked opponents

• The Oregon transfer was named the Most Valuable Player of the Rainbow Wahine Classic after amassing 57 kills, 17 digs and 13 total blocks in a 3-0 week, which included wins over No. 23 San Diego and No. 13 Washington.

• Rasmussen, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, totaled 19 kills in each of the three wins and hit .347 overall.

• Her season debut against the Toreros featured .390 hitting with just three errors in 41 attempts. She added four digs and three blocks (two solo).

• Rasmussen had 19 more kills with three digs and five blocks (three solo) in a five-set victory over St. John’s.

• She concluded the tournament with her first career double-double, posting 19 kills and 10 digs to go along with an ace and five blocks in the four-set triumph over the Huskies.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• Opening her collegiate career at the Idaho Volleyball Classic, Julia Crawford helped Cal State Fullerton to a 2-1 record as the Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week.

• The 5-foot-9 outside hitter averaged 4.00 kills on .188 hitting as the Titans posted wins over Eastern Washington (3-0) and Idaho (3-1) sandwiched around a tough five-set loss to Illinois-Chicago.

• Crawford compiled 48 kills and 43 digs (3.58 dps) over the three contests,

• She had double-digit kills in all three matches, including 20 against UIC to go along with 15 digs for her first career double-double.

• Crawford turned in a second consecutive double-double with 17 kills and 19 digs against the host Vandals. She added a pair of aces and a solo block.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Junior Savahna Costello of Cal State Fullerton garnered Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week accolades after averaging 5.50 digs per set over three matches.

• The 5-foot-6 libero is the first Titan to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors since Paige Reed on Nov. 17, 2014.

• Costello posted 18 digs or more in every match at the Idaho Volleyball Classic. She notched 29 digs in a five-set loss to UIC and had 19 more in a sweep of Eastern Washington.

• Costello tallied 18 digs in a four-set triumph over host Idaho. She also racked up 14 assists for the tournament.
