• Cal Poly junior Maia Dvoracek collected her first career Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week award after a stellar effort against three top teams at the Pepperdine Asics Classic.
• Dvoracek averaged 4.29 kills, 2.43 digs and 0.50 service aces per set while hitting at a .299 clip as the Mustangs went 2-1 for the tournament, including a thrilling five-set win over No. 16 Utah.
• The 6-foot-1 outside hitter totaled 60 kills, 34 digs, six blocks and seven aces over 14 sets to help Cal Poly’s recent hot streak which includes five wins in its last six matches.
• Dvoracek pounded a career-high 30 kills on .414 efficiency to help bring down the ranked Utes, a revenge win for the Mustangs which had lost in five in Salt Lake City on Aug. 31. She added 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the year as well as three blocks and a pair of aces. Her 30 kills are the most by a Cal Poly player since Torrey Van Winden had 30 against Wichita State in 2017.
• Cal Poly flirted with another upset over a ranked team in a four-set loss to No. 6 Pittsburgh. Dvoracek finished with 13 kills, six digs and four aces.
• In a five-set triumph over host Pepperdine, Dvoracek secured another double-double with a match-high 17 kills and 15 digs to go along with three block assists and an ace.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• Hawai‘i outside hitter Hanna Hellvig claimed the Most Valuable Player award of the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Volleyball Challenge in earning her first career Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week award.
• Hellvig led the Rainbow Wahine to a 3-0 record with wins over West Virginia, Utah Valley and UCLA, posting 37 kills, 38 digs and 13 blocks over 11 sets.
• She averaged 3.36 kills, 3.45 digs and 1.18 blocks per set while swinging at a .289 (37-11-90) clip.
• Hellvig recorded her first two career double-doubles, tallying 17 kills and 17 digs against Utah Valley and 11 kills with 12 digs versus UCLA.
• She tied her career high in blocks with five against both West Virginia and Utah Valley.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• UC Santa Barbara junior Rowan Ennis garnered her first Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honor after capturing Most Valuable Player accolades at the Thunderdome Classic.
• The 6-foot-1 middle blocker played a key role in a 3-0 record at the team’s home tournament. Ennis hit .423 (30-8-52) with per set averages of 2.73 kills, 2.00 blocks and 1.00 digs as the Gauchos knocked off San Diego, La Salle and Harvard.
• Ennis piled up eight blocks and 10 kills on .375 hitting in the four-set win over San Diego, a team receiving votes in the AVCA poll.
• She notched eight more blocks in the sweep of La Salle.
• In the four-set win over the Crimson, Ennis hit an astounding .650 with 13 kills and no errors in 20 attempts. She added five digs, six blocks (one solo) and two aces to top off an all-around outstanding weekend.
