Trejo, Guerin, McBride Help Take Down Top 25

• Impressive performances against a pair of top 15 clubs earned CSUN junior Daniel Trejo his fourth career Big West Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award.

• Trejo scored three goals and added an assist as the Matadors split home matches against No. 8 Washington and No. 13 UCLA.

• The forward sparked the 3-1 upset against the Huskies with a goal and an assist. The win represented CSUN’s highest ranked victim since defeating No. 9 Utah Valley on Sept. 1, 2017.

• In a 4-2 loss to the Bruins, Trejo recorded two goals – the fourth multi-goal game of his career. He took eight shots over the two games, five of which were on frame.

• Trejo has scored seven goals on the season, raising his career total to 24.

• Cal State Fullerton senior Paul-Andre Guerin posted his third shutout of the season in a win over No. 14 FGCU, picking up his third career Big West Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor.

• Guerin posted five saves apiece in wins over Air Force (3-2 in OT) and FGCU (2-0), giving him a save percentage of .833 and a goals against average of 0.95.

• Guerin made a brilliant save to preserve the shutout against FGCU going fully outstretched to tip a laser over the crossbar.

• He is now tied for No. 2 all-time at CSF with 17 shutouts.

• UC Santa Barbara midfielder Finn Ballard McBride made the most of his first career start in earning Big West Men’s Soccer Freshman of the Week accolades.

• Making his first career start at Oregon State, a team receiving votes in the national polls, McBride helped the Gauchos to a 3-2 win with a goal and an assist.

• He assisted on UCSB’s opening goal in the 50th minute, drawing defenders in at midfield and finding Ameyawu Muntari in space. McBride tied the game at 2-2 in the 72nd minute.
