Long Beach State junior Natalie Munoz earned Big West Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week after going a perfect 3-0 on the week.

• Munoz helped Long Beach State go 2-0 with wins over Cincinnati and Hawai‘i

•  The junior helped win the doubles point with a dominant 6-1 win against the Bearcats and then nabbed a point with a straight-sets 6-4, 6-1 win

• Munoz played singles first against UH to give the Beach an early lead with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3

Cal Poly sophomore Alex Stater claimed Big West Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week honors after extending his singles winning-streak to six matches.

• Stater recorded two wins last week at the No. 4 spot over Nevada and New Mexico to extend his winning-streak to six matches

• The sophomore also pushed his dual match record to a team-best 9-3 on the year

• Stater boasts a 6-1 record so far this season at No. 4 singles
