Hawaii's Ari Homayun (Woodland Hills, Calif./El Camino Real Charter) and Julia Scoles (Mooresville, N.C./North Carolina) earned the first Pairs Team of the Week honor for the 2019 season after a dominant week at the No. 3 spot.
 
• Homayun and Scoles went 3-1 at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic with its lone loss coming to No. 1 UCLA
 
• The pair dominated competition with all three of its wins coming in straight sets
 
• The No. 3 pair won their three matches by 56 combined points, an average margin of 9.3 points per set

• Among the wins was a 21-16, 21-9 sweet of No. 4 Pepperdine's Skylar Caputo and Jenna Tunnell

• Scoles was named Best Attacked of the weekend's tournament
