MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Cal State Fullerton senior Austen Awosika earned his first career Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week selection in dramatic fashion.
• The 6-foot-3 guard provided the heroics in a thrilling 77-74 victory at UCLA as he scored the game-winning basket and a game-preserving steal to hand the Bruins just their second loss in the all-time series.
• Awosika finished the game with 15 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals. He hit 6-of-14 floor shots, including 2-of-3 from three-point territory.
• Awosika made two three-point field goals in a game for the first time this season, the second of which stopped UCLA’s 17-0 run and tied the game at 68-68.
• The Carson native drilled an off-balance floater from the left side of the lane with 23 ticks on the clock to give the Titans the 77-74 lead, then made a steal with two seconds remaining to prevent the Bruins from taking a game-tying shot.
• In playing all 40 minutes, Awosika helped CSF to its first win over a Power 5 school since Dec. 7, 2011, against Utah.
• It was the first win for the Titans over UCLA since Nov. 16, 2009.
