Scoring Spree Spurs Gomez To Men's Hoops Weekly Honor

• Terrell Gomez pieced together back-to-back 30-point games to give the CSUN junior his third career Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honor.

• The 5-foot-8 guard was spectacular in a 1-1 week for the Matadors as he averaged 30.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while hitting an array of clutch shots.

• Gomez posted 30 points in an 85-84 loss at Green Bay in the Legends Classic. He hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:24 to play, but the Phoenix hit the game-winner on the next possession.

• He shot 11-of-20 with four three-point makes against Green Bay and chipped in three rebounds, four assists and two steals.

• Gomez hit several key shots to help the Matadors tally their first win of the season. He scored 21 of his 31 points in the second half to help push the Matadors past Fresno State, 73-72.

• Gomez knocked down 7-of-14 shots from three-point range, tying a career-high for three-point makes, but the decisive points came at the free throw line. The Los Angeles native hit the tying and go-ahead free throws with four seconds left.

• Gomez finished 9-of-20 overall from the field against the Bulldogs after missing his first five shots of the night.

• He was a perfect 10-of-10 from the foul line for the week.
