MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Eddie Stansberry earned his first career Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award, leading Hawai‘i to a 2-0 record on the strength of a scorching shooting performance.
• The senior averaged 27.0 points on 60 percent (15-of-25) shooting overall and 77 percent (10-of-13) on threes as the Rainbow Warriors defeated Pacific (72-67) and Portland State (83-75).
• The 6-foot-3 guard scored 11 of his 26 points against Pacific in the final four minutes to help UH claw back from an eight point deficit for the victory. He made four threes (in six attempts) while adding three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
• Stansberry earned Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic All-Tournament Team accolades after helping UH to a 2-1 record.
• Against Portland State, Stansberry erupted for a career-high 28 points. He knocked down his first six three-pointers versus the Vikings and finished the game 6-for-7 from distance.
• The San Francisco native also collected four rebounds and three assists in the Portland State win.
• Stansberry also was perfect from the line for the week at 14-for-14.
• He played all 40 minutes against both opponents.
