Williams Heads Up Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Long Beach State sophomore Kashauna Williams led her team to a pair of conference road sweeps to earn her first Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week award.
 
• The 6-foot outside hitter averaged 5.83 kills per set while hitting a sizzling .483 (35-7-58) in victories over UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton.
 
• She posted double-figure kills in both matches, including 17 against the Anteaters and 18 more versus the Titans.
 
• Williams hit a career-high .517 against CSF with just three errors in 29 swings. She added a block assist.

• Williams swung at a .448 (17-4-29) clip in the UCI match to go along with two assists and two block solos.
 
• She contributed three digs in each match.

HANNA HELLVIG, HAWAI‘I
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• For the fifth time this season, Hanna Hellvig earned Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week accolades in helping her team win twice on the road and extend Hawaii’s winning streak to nine straight.
 
• The 6-foot-2 outside hitter tallied 28 kills over the weekend as the Rainbow Wahine upended UC Davis in four sets and swept UC Riverside.
 
• She hit .310 for the week, including a solid .450 (11-2-20) against the Highlanders.

• She averaged 4.00 kills, 0.71 blocks and 0.43 digs per set.

• Hellvig notched a match-high 17 kills on .237 hitting against UC Davis to go along with an assist, a dig and two blocks.

• Against the Highlanders, she tied for the match high with 11 kills, and added three blocks and two digs. She now has 20 double-digit kill matches this year.

MORGAN SALONE, CSUN
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• A force at the net for CSUN, senior Morgan Salone captured Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors as she helped her squad to a pair of conference road victories.
 
• The 6-foot-4 middle blocker averaged 1.33 kills and blocks per set to propel the Matadors to a four-set win over Cal State Fullerton and a five-set triumph against UC Irvine.
 
• Salone had five blocks against the Titans before matching her season-high with seven (two solo) against the Anteaters.
 
• She also contributed offensively with five kills against CSF and seven more versus UCI. She hit .353 (7-1-17) against the Anteaters.
