• Hawaii’s Kayla Ryan earned her first Big West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award after knocking in two goals against CSUN to win 2-1 in overtime.
• The sophomore's first two career goals led the Rainbow Wahine to victory, earning their first ever conference-opening win since UH joined the Big West in 2012.
• In her first start of the season, Ryan took four shots with two of them on frame.
• Her goal in the 92nd minute also registered as her first career game-winner, beating the CSUN keeper from the right center point of the box.

• UC Irvine goalkeeper Maddie Newsom secured her second career Big West Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor with her two wins to start off conference play.
• The 2018 Big West Goalkeeper of the Year picked up her 33rd career victory after making one save against UC Davis as the 'Eaters overcame an early deficit in a 2-1 win.
• UCI blanked UC Riverside 1-0 on Thursday night, adding another shutout to the senior's already impressive record card, giving her 19 career shutouts.
• The Elk Grove native earned six saves against UCR to lead her team to victory in double overtime.
• She posted a 0.45 goals against average and .875 save percentage in 198 minutes of action.
