Ruddins Sets Big West Player Of The Week Record

• UC Santa Barbara senior Lindsey Ruddins broke the Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week career record as she hit over .500 in a pair of dominant road wins.
 
• Ruddins earned her 12th career honor to break the conference record of 11 held by Cal Poly’s Kylie Atherstone. Ruddins claimed four awards as a sophomore, five as a junior and three so far in her final season as a Gaucho.
 
• The 6-foot-2 outside hitter hit a combined .530 with 38 kills and just three errors in 66 swings in back-to-back sweeps of UC Davis and UC Riverside.
 
• Ruddins recorded a career-best .548 hitting percentage with 18 kills against the Aggies on Thursday.

• In her five-year career, Ruddins has hit over .500 in a match three times, all of which have come this season with two in a row this past week.
 
• She racked up 20 more kills while hitting .514 against the Highlanders. It was her sixth 20-kill match of the season.

• Ruddins also collected 13 digs and three blocks over the two matches.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• Tallulah Froley notched her third Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week honor after helping UC Santa Barbara to a pair of sweeps on the road.
 
• The 6-foot right side hitter tallied 19 kills on .275 hitting (19-8-41) as the Gauchos upended UC Davis and UC Riverside.
 
• Froley averaged 3.17 kills, 0.83 blocks and 0.50 digs per set for the week.

• Froley totaled 10 kills against the Aggies for her ninth double-digit kill contest this season. She hit .273 in the match while adding three block assists and a dig.

• In the Highlander match, she notched nine kills on .263 hitting to go along with two digs and two block assists.

NORENE IOSIA, HAWAI‘I
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Hawai'i setter Norene Iosia recorded her first career Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honor due to her dominance on the court in two conference matches.
 
• The senior helped the Rainbow Wahine sweep Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine, putting her squad on a five-match win streak.
 
• Iosia totaled 22 digs and 12 blocks between the two matches, including a career-high eight blocks against the Titans.
 
• The Torrance, Calif. native has recorded 13 double-doubles on the season, giving her a total of 57 in her career. She has five career triple-doubles and was only two kills and two blocks away from capturing a quadruple-double against the Titans.
 
• Iosia’s three aces for the week moved her up to No. 5 in program history with 121, and she is now 12th on the Rainbow Wahine's all-time dig list with 1,070.
