WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• UC Santa Barbara freshman Tallulah Froley garnered her first career Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honor after helping her squad defeat first place Cal Poly.
• Froley tallied a team-high 16 kills in the four-set win over the previously conference unbeaten Mustangs, which snapped their eight-match overall winning streak.
• The right side hitter hit .250 (16-6-40) for the match and added four digs and two blocks in the win.
• Froley produced six of her 16 kills in the decisive fourth set, including three early on to give UCSB a 6-3 lead. She had five kills in UCSB’s 25-19 set one win.
• Froley stepped up big in the absence of star outside hitter Lindsey Ruddins. The Gauchos are now tied for first place with Cal Poly at 6-1 in the Big West standings.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• Hanna Hellvig claimed her third Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week honor after leading Hawai‘i to a pair of wins in league play
• The 6-foot-2 outside hitter had a team-leading 26 total kills for the week as the Rainbow Wahine swept UC Riverside and upended UC Davis in five sets on the 25th anniversary of the Stan Sheriff Center.
• Hellvig averaged 3.25 kills, 1.63 digs and 0.50 blocks per set.
• Hellvig, who has led UH in kills in eight of the last 11 matches, recorded a team-high 16 kills in Sunday’s comeback win over the Aggies. She also contributed three blocks (one solo) with five digs.
• The Sweden native produced 10 kills, eight digs and one block against the Highlanders. She has posted double-figure kills in 15 matches this season.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• CSUN junior Makayla Bradford was instrumental in a pair of conference wins as she collected her first career Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award.
• The 5-foot-6 defensive specialist/libero tallied 37 total digs as the Matadors defeated UC Irvine in five sets and swept Cal State Fullerton.
• Bradford averaged 4.63 digs per set over the eight sets and also notched a career-high four aces against the Anteaters.
• The Gardena native posted her third 20-dig match of the season with a match-high 23 against UC Irvine. She added 14 digs against the Titans.
• Bradford also dished out five assists in the two victories.
