Taylor Rowland led a potent Long Beach State offense while Hailey Dolcini of UC Riverside captured her second straight pitching honor.

Long Beach State sophomore Taylor Rowland (Chino Hills, Calif./Tennessee) helped her team post a 5-0 record with outstanding offensive production, earning Big West Softball Field Player of the Week accolades.
➜ Rowland finished the week with 14 RBI and hit .625 (10-for-16) at the plate.
➜ The first baseman/designated player drove in multiple runs in four of the five games. She went 9-for-10 (.900) with 12 RBI in three LMU Tournament games. Among her hits, she had three doubles and a pair of home runs.
➜ Rowland unleashed a grand slam on host Loyola Marymount in a 9-6 victory. She went 3-for-4 with five RBI in the game.
➜ In another 9-6 win – this one over Colgate – Rowland was a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish with a double, home run and four RBI. She slammed a two-run home run to help LBSU’s cause.
➜ Rowland doubled twice and knocked in three runs in a 9-1 win over Fairfield. Also went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a walk in a 9-1 triumph over Monmouth.

UC Riverside freshman Hailey Dolcini (Ferndale, Calif./Fortuna HS) collected her second straight Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week honor after not allowing a run in 15.2 innings of work.
➜ Dolcini made four appearances – two in relief – and scattered eight hits while walking just three and striking out 11.
➜ She threw a complete game four-hit shutout against Harvard to start the UCR Tournament. She walked one and struck out four.
➜ Dolcini got a no-decision in a 2-1 loss to Texas Tech in the Highlander Invitational. In 4.0 innings of work, she allowed just one hit and a walk in the pitcher’s duel.
➜ She combined to throw 4.2 innings of scoreless relief in appearances against Purdue and Idaho State. She went 3.0 innings in the 2-1 win over the Bengals to earn her second win of the week.
➜ Dolcini has not allowed an earned run in her last 46.0 innings, going all the way back to the first inning against Stony Brook on March 3.
