UC Riverside junior Réjane Verin (Les Abymes, Guadeloupe/Junipero Serra HS) posted a career-high 27 points in a road victory to capture Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades.
Verin earned her 27 points on an efficient 11-of-17 shooting as the Highlanders notched their highest scoring output of the season in a 92-70 win over Seattle. She hit her only three-point attempt of the contest and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
Verin has five 20-point performances this season.
The 6-1 forward also pulled down 11 rebounds to secure her second double-double of the year.
She filled out the stat sheet with four assists and a career-high tying five steals.
