The top performances in the Big West last week came from Long Beach State junior Alex Reid, Cal Poly freshman Raeann Greisen and Hawai‘i senior Kalei Adolpho.
Reid Powers The Beach To First Win In Hawai‘i In Over Two Decades
Alex Reid’s (Aurora, Colo./Grandview HS) team-high 16 kills fueled Long Beach State’s five set win at Hawai‘i, the program’s first on the islands since 1993, earning her Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week accolades.
Reid’s 16 kills came on a team-high 40 swings as the win moved Long Beach State to 10-0 in the Big West and secured the program’s first 20-win campaign since 2011. Reid had a monster second set with 10 kills on .400 hitting to put The Beach up two sets to none.
The 5-11 junior outside hitter chipped in 14 digs to cement her sixth double-double of the year.

Greisen Leads Cal Poly To Conference Split
Freshman outside hitter Raeann Greisen (San Diego, Calif./The Bishop’s School) led Cal Poly to a 1-1 split with over five kills per set and a .352 hitting percentage, earning Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman Player of the Week accolades.
Greisen posted a team-leading 17 kills in a four-set loss to UC Irvine on Friday. She had just five errors in 36 attempts as she hit .333 for the match, while adding six digs.
In Saturday’s four-set victory over Cal State Fullerton, Greisen slammed a career-high 24 kills on a collegiate-best 55 attempts, and totaled just four errors for a .364 attack efficiency. She chipped in three service aces, seven digs and three blocks.
For the week, Greisen, led the Mustangs in kills (41) and kills per set (5.12) while averaging 0.50 aces per set.

Adolpho Dominant At Net For Rainbow Wahine
Hawai‘i senior Kalei Adolpho (Ho’olehua, Moloka’i) put on her own personal blocking clinic in earning Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The 6-1 middle blocker led the Rainbow Wahine at the net in both matches against Long Beach State and CSUN, averaging 2.11 blocks per set to help UH to a home split.
Adolpho recorded nine blocks (two solo) against the first-place 49ers. She also had a solid night offensively with nine kills on .368 hitting in the tough five-set loss.
In a four-set win over the Matadors, Adolpho collected 10 blocks, including two more solos as she spearheaded a 14.0-7.0 blocking advantage for UH. She added seven kills, helping UH improve to 9-3 in the Big West with sole possession of second place.
