UC Santa Barbara's Alan Williams (Phoenix, Ariz./North HS) sandwiched a pair of dominating performances around the New Year to claim his third Big West Player of the Week honor of the 2013-14 season.
The junior wrapped up 2013 with a big game in a road win over Seattle, scoring 27 points and pulling down eight rebounds in 30 minutes. He shot 8-of-14 from the field, hit 11-of-13 from the charity stripe and collected three steals and a pair of blocks. The win was the first by a Big West school over the Redhawks this season, ending a five game losing string.
Williams then put forth another efficient effort in a blowout win over The Master's College, scoring 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting in 22 minutes. He was also able to pull down 12 rebounds, five of them coming on the offensive end, and added a pair of steals and one block. Most impressively, Williams did not commit a single turnover.
