The University of Hawai`i women's basketball team (17-14, 13-5 BWC) fell to San Diego 61-49 in the opening round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament on Thursday night at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The loss ended the season for the resurgent Rainbow Wahine who had advanced to the post-season for the first time in 10 years.
