Sophomore Edwin Rivas (Los Angeles, Calif./Santee Educational Complex) led Cal State Northridge in scoring to claim Big West Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The forward scored a goal in both Matador victories against Portland (4-0) and American (2-1) and received Most Valuable Player accolades at the Wilson Titan Classic for his efforts.
Rivas also tallied the game-winning assist versus the Pilots to give him a team-leading five points for the week. In Sunday's come-from-behind win against American, Rivas struck for the game-tying goal less than four minutes after American took the advantage.
He took eight shots for the tournament, six of which were on frame.
