In collaboration with ESPN and the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, the Big West Conference’s 10-game distribution package on ESPN3 continues this Saturday with the Hawai‘i at Cal State Northridge Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) men’s volleyball match at 7:00 p.m. (PDT).
The package began on Friday, Nov. 25 with a women’s volleyball match between Cal State Fullerton and Hawai‘i from Titan Gym. Since then, four other contests have been showcased on ESPN3, including the Hawai‘i at Pacific men’s basketball game (Dec. 6), two women’s basketball tilts featuring UC Riverside at UC Irvine (Jan. 26) and Cal Poly at UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 4), and a Big West Tournament men’s basketball semifinal matchup on Mar. 9.
The inclusion of games on ESPN3 extends ESPN’s current five-year deal with the Big West, which continues through the 2012-13 season.
UC Davis travels to Hawai‘i for a pair of games on March 30-31 and Long Beach State hosts Pacific in a softball doubleheader on May 11 to complete the 10-game package on ESPN3.
ESPN3 is currently available in more than 70 million households through computers, tablets and smart phones and in 25 million households via Xbox gaming consoles.
