Mahina Haina collected this week's Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week award after guiding the Cal State Northridge Matadors to a perfect 3-0 week at the Sacramento State Invitational.
She opened the two-day event with an explosive .556 hitting percentage and five block assists against Marist. The Honolulu, Hawaii, native continued her domination on Saturday against both Fresno State and host Sacramento State where she hit .375 and .395, respectively.
For the week, the sophomore outside hitter paced the Cal State Northridge offense with 41 kills in 80 swings to hit .425 with just seven hitting errors. Haina was named MVP of the Sacramento State Invitational for her efforts.
