Seniors Lexi Kopf and freshman Jennifer Randazzo were selected the Big West Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week as their efforts helped UC Irvine record a victory against its highest-ranked road opponent in school history.
Kopf Nets Pair Of Game-Winners

Lexi Kopf (Sonora, Calif./Sonora HS) provided the game-winning goal in both Anteater victories to capture the first Big West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award in 2011.
Kopf took a total of two shots in UCI’s wins against UTSA (2-1) and No. 11 Texas A&M (1-0), making both of them count. She netted the game-winner in the 88th minute of the season-opener against UTSA.
Against the host Aggies in their own Texas A&M Invitational, the Anteaters struck early on a goal from Kopf in the eighth minute. The lead held up as UCI withstood 21 shots from the Aggies and 100 degree weather.

Randazzo Shuts Out No. 11 Texas A&M in Anteater Debut Weekend

Jennifer Randazzo (San Jose, Calif./Presentation HS) started off her collegiate career in stellar fashion with key performances in two wins at the Texas A&M Invitational.
In her first career start against UTSA, Randazzo made four saves in a 2-1 win.
Randazzo then posted her first career shutout in an impressive 1-0 win against the host Aggies. Among her seven saves, one was on a point-blank deflection. She also sprawled out to make a diving save on one Texas A&M attempt. Randazzo withstood the Aggie offense all afternoon as she was peppered with 21 shots.
