Pacific recorded the league's lone sweep last weekend and now the Tigers have swept the league's weekly honors. The club had Kelsey Rodriguez win the Big West Player of the Week, while Nikki Armagost claimed the Big West Pitcher of the Week.
Rodriguez Catches Fire Offensively, Leads Pacific To Series Sweep
Kelsey Rodriguez helped Pacific inch closer to its first Big West championship last weekend, resulting in Big West Player of the Week honors.
The freshman was a key offensive cog in the club’s sweep over UC Santa Barbara, batting .714 (5-7) in the series.
In the opener, Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with a homer, two RBI, a run scored and a walk in the Tigers' 3-2 win. She followed that up with another two RBI effort in game two, adding another base hit and walk to her total in a 5-1 Pacific win.
Rodriguez wrapped up her outstanding series against UCSB with a 3-for-3 effort. She knocked in two, scored twiced, walked and doubled to lead the Tigers to a 9-2 win and the series sweep.
In all, Rodriguez drove in six of the 13 RBI recorded by the Tigers, posted an .800 on-base percentage and slugged 1.286.

Armagost Records Pair Of Wins Against UCSB
Nikki Armagost picked up two of Pacific's three against UC Santa Barbara wins last weekend, netting her Big West Pitcher of the Week accolades.
Armagost began the series with a complete game seven-hitter, allowing two runs (one earned), walking two and striking out three in a 3-2 win.
Armagost also hurled a complete game win in the finale. In that contest she allowed four hits, two runs (none earned), walked four and struck out six.
For the series, Armagost recorded a 0.50 ERA, recorded a .208 opponent batting average and allowed just one earned run in her 14.0 innings of work.
Armagost is now 9-1 in Big West play and has seven complete games in those 10 starts.
