After leading their clubs to big wins in non-conference and league play, UC Santa Barbara's Keilani Jennings and Pacific's Nikki Armagost were names the Big West Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
Jennings Powers UCSB To 5-0 Week
Keilani Jennings swung a hot bat in an undefeated week for UC Santa Barbara, netting her Big West Player of the Week honors.
The sophomore registered hits in four of UCSB's five games last week, including three multi-hit outings. She began the week with a hit, RBI and two walks in a sweep over South Dakota but saved her best for the conference series against rival Cal Poly.
Jennings hit .700 (7-10) in the series against the Mustangs, collecting at least two hits in each game of the three-game showdown.
She kicked things off with a 2-for-3, two RBI, two runs scored, two doubles effort in the opener, then added two more hits, three runs scored, and a RBI in the middle game.
Jennings then closed out her scorching week with a 3-for-4 showing in the rubber match. She hit a homer, knocked in two runs, scored twoce and doubled twice to lead the Gauchos to a sweep over their Central Coast rivals.

Armagost Nearly Unhittable In Three Starts For Tigers
Nikki Armagost led Pacific to a trio of big wins last week, gaining Big West Pitcher of the Week accolades for her efforts.
Armagost recorded an 0.68 ERA in 20.2 innings over three starts last week, all victories by the Tigers.
In her first start, Armagost was awarded a no-decision against Fresno State after allowing seven hits, four runs (two earned), four walks and striking out six over 6.2 innings. An error in the seventh allowed the Bulldogs to tie the game, but Pacific eventually won the game in extras.
In her two starts against conference foe UC Davis, Armagost was nearly unhittable. In 14.0 innings, she allowed just 11 hits, walked three and allowed just one runner to reach third base over her two starts.
