The fourth annual Big West Coin Drive returns to the nine conference campuses throughout the month of February as each school’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) collects coins and donates the funds to charity.
From February 1-28, each school’s SAAC will set up a location on each campus to collect coins for a charity they will designate. Each school will donate three-quarters of its collection to its designated charity and the other 25 percent to the winning institution’s charity. Cal Poly was the top fundraising institution in 2010, while Pacific (2009) and UC Davis (2008) raised the most money the previous two years. The nine Big West schools raised more than $11,000 in 2010.
Be sure to bring your change to your favorite Big West school to support a great cause throughout the month of February!
