Katie Castro was the top finisher for the Pacific Tigers in last week's UCSD Triton Classic, earning her Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors. This is Pacific's first honor of the season.
The Los Gatos, Calif., native placed 17th out of 122 runners after crossing the finish line with a time of 23:44 in the women's 6k. It was the second fastest time for the freshman.
