UC Riverside's Chad Hall and Long Beach State's Rosa Del Toro posted outstanding efforts in their races last weekend, netting them Big West Men's and Women's Athlete of the Week honors, respectively.

Hall, a junior from Big Bear, Calif., finished fourth out of 322 runners in the 8K at the UC Riverside Invitational. His time of 24:13.0 was four seconds faster than his eighth place finish a year ago and led the Highlanders to a second place finish among the 25 teams in competition.

Del Toro, a junior from Van Nuys, Calif., finished in first place at the Aztec Invitational, completing the 5K race in 18:02. She beat her own teammate Nina Moore by three seconds for the title and led the squad to a second place finish overall.
