With the first decade of the new century nearing its end, the Big West Conference finds itself in stellar company among four major NCAA sports.
In research compiled by
USA TODAY's Jeff Miller, the Conference is the lone non-qualifying BCS league to pick up a national title in four major NCAA sports (football, men's & women's basketball, baseball), thanks to Cal State Fullerton's baseball championship in 2004. In addition, the Big West picked up a national title in men's soccer with UC Santa Barbara taking the crown in 2006.
