Cal State Northridge's Tracy Allen and Cal Poly's Rebecca Patton claimed this week's Big West Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards, respectively, after stellar performances in their respective team's sweeps over the weekend.
CSUN's Allen White Hot at the Plate in Sweep over Pacific
Tracy Allen was as hot as it gets for Cal State Northridge in a sweep over Pacific last weekend, netting her Big West Player of the Week accolades.
The junior collected two hits in each of the three games, going 6-for-11 for the series. In the opener, Allen was responsible for both runs in a 2-1 win as she knocked in a run and scored another.
Game two saw Allen explode for a career-best five RBI and two runs scored as she belted a grand slam in the Matadors’ 12-7 victory.
The finale saw Allen hit her team-best sixth homer and knocked in two more runs to lead CSUN to a 12-5 win.

CP's Patton Shuts Down Titans in Key Conference Sweep
Rebecca Patton of Cal Poly came away with all three wins in a sweep over Cal State Fullerton last weekend, nabbing Big West Pitcher of the Week honors.
The freshman started things off with a relief appearance in game one, pitching two-thirds of an inning to pick up the victory in the opener.
Patton started game two and shut down the Titan offense to the tune of four hits and no runs, while striking out five in the Mustangs’ 3-0 win.
She also started the 5-3 Cal Poly win in game three, allowing 11 hits, two runs (both earned) and striking out seven.
In all, Patton posted a 1.08 ERA in 13.0 innings, striking out 13 while allowing just two runs and 16 hits.
