IRVINE, CA- It is better to give than to receive. The Big West Conference is excited to announce the launch of their Canned Food Drive and School Supplies Drive. The Big West Conference and its member schools asks fans to bring three cans of food to each institution’s designated basketball game. These cans of food will be donated directly to that area’s local food bank to help feed the hungry. The same goes for the School Supplies Drive and supplies will be delivered to that area’s local schools in need.
By simply bringing three cans of food or school supplies, each fan will be entered into a drawing for two vouchers to the Big West Basketball Tournament held March 10-13th at the Anaheim Convention Center. Each drawing will occur at the 8:00 minute mark of the first half. In addition, for every ticket purchased for the Championship Tournament that night, the Big West Conference will donate cans of food to a local food bank or school supplies to a local school.
