Rachel Clancy collects Cal Poly's first Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the 2010-11 season after guiding the Mustangs to a 2-0 week.
Clancy opened the week shooting 8-of-15 from the floor and 5-of-8 from three-point range. She drained a game-high 23 points and pulled down four rebounds to lift Cal Poly to a 80-55 win over San Francisco.
Recording a second straight 20-plus point performance helped the Mustangs post their second win of the week with a 73-64 victory over San Jose State. The Limerick, Ireland, native, fired a .563 shooting percentage (9-of-16) to notch 26 points. Clancy, grabbing nine rebounds, was one rebound shy of her third double-double of the season.
For the week, the senior guard shot .548 from the field and .833 from the free throw line and averaged 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
