Caitlin Ledoux lifted Long Beach State to a perfect 2-0 on the road last week, earning her Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors. This is her second award of the year, fourth of her career, after kicking off the 2010 season with her first.
Ledoux opened the week recording a double-double in a four-set win at Pacific, connecting on 15 kills and 13 digs. The Phelan, Calif., native also notched three blocks and tallied a .234 hitting percentage.
The following evening at UC Davis, Ledoux led all hitters with 23 kills, including four in the final set, as the 49ers outlasted the Aggies in five sets. The junior outside hitter added nine digs and one block to her total.
For the week, Ledoux averaged 4.22 kills and 2.44 digs per set while hitting .217.
