Mekia Valentine had a great holiday week as she etched herself into the UC Santa Barbara record book and collected Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolades.

In UC Santa Barbara's first win of the season against Northern Colorado, Valentine notched the school's first-ever triple double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks. Her 10 swats were the second-most in school history for a single game, just trailing her 11 blocked shots she registered last season against conference foe UC Irvine.

The senior forward also tallied the first Big West triple-double since Cal State Fullerton's Jasmine Scott fired 11 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists against Long beach State on Feb. 4, 2010.
