Engelhardt Picks Up Pacific's First Honor Of Season

A career-best performance that assisted in a 2-0 week for the Pacific Tigers earned Svenja Engelhardt Big West Player of the Week honors, for the week ending Oct. 24. This is the first weekly award of her career.

Engelhardt showed her strengths both on offense and defense in two matches played as she recorded a pair of double-doubles at San Jose State and against UC Riverside. In each of the two matches, Engelhardt led all attackers in kills posting 18 against the Spartans and hitting an impressive .432 and adding 15 digs.

On Friday, Svenja had her finest night defensively in her four-year career as she posted her first ever 20-dig performance in just three sets. She hit .393 against the Highlanders while tallying a match-high 13 kills with just two errors.

For the week, Svenja averaged 5.17 kills per game on an impressive .415 hitting percentage from the outside while also averaging 5.83 digs per set.
