UC Riverside's Chad Hall and Long Beach State's Rosa Del Toro showed their preparedness for the Big West Championships in two weeks last weekend as Hall claimed the Big West Men's Athlete of the Week honor, while Del Toro took home the Women's Athlete of the Week award.

Hall, a junior from Big Bear, Calif., won the individual title at the Northridge Invitational, posting a course record and personal-best 8K time of 23:24.2. This is the second consecutive season he won the Northridge Invitational, while his time is the best 8K in the Big West this season.

Del Toro, a junior from Van Nuys, Calif., ran a season and personal best 5K at the Bronco Invitational, finishing the race in seventh overall with a time of 17:16. Her time helped the 49ers grab the team title.
