Lindsay Bullock’s (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa HS) hat trick against Cal State Fullerton earned the Long Beach State midfielder Big West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The senior became the first 49er to record three goals in a match since Hayley Bolt accomplished the feat in 2008.  Bullock also took seven shots, including five on frame, as the 49ers defeated the Titans 5-2 on Sunday.  Bullock’s goals came in the 16th, 34th and 74th minutes.

Bullock now leads LBSU with 40 shots and her five goals ranks second on the team.

Medigovich Stellar In Goal In Pair Of Pacific Road Victories

A stalwart between the pipes, Pacific goalkeeper Jill Medigovich (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic HS) garnered Big West Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week accolades after allowing just one goal in nearly 190 minutes of action in two Tiger road victories.

Medigovich posted a clean sheet in the Tigers’ 1-0 triumph at Cal Poly on Friday, making two saves.  She faced 12 UC Santa Barbara shots in Sunday’s 2-1 overtime triumph.  Medigovich tallied seven saves in that match and allowed only her second goal in the last eight games.

The senior keeper has compiled a 0.40 goals against average in her last eight games, including 90 minutes of shutout goalkeeping against two ranked teams (No. 16 California, No. 23 UC Irvine).  For the week, Medigovich had nine saves, a .900 save percentage and a 0.47 goals against average.
