Coral Hoover (Corralitos, Calif./Harbor HS) garnered her second straight Big West Women's Soccer Player of the Week award as she posted back-to-back shutouts against a pair of Pac-10 opponents, including the nation's seventh-ranked squad.

Hoover was a stalwart in net for the Mustangs in a 1-0 overtime road win against No. 7 California and a 3-0 home victory versus Arizona.  She improved her overall record this season to 6-1.

On Friday, Hoover faced a barrage of shots from the potent California offense, recording nine saves.  She faced 25 shots, 10 in the first half and 15 in the second.  The Bears were averaging 2.8 goals per game going into the contest.

In Sunday's encounter versus the Wildcats, Hoover turned away the three shots taken on frame and faced nine UA shots overall.

Hoover now has recorded four straight shutouts and is the first Cal Poly goalkeeper to do so since Greta Shirdon tallied six in a row in 2003.  Her two performances lowered her goals against average to 0.57 for the year.

Others nominated:  Rochelle VanBuskirk (UC Davis); Jessica White (UC Riverside); Kristina Wavomba (Pacific)
