Erin Saddler (Bellflower, Calif./Downey HS) was instrumental in Cal State Fullerton's upset victory over No. 7 UCLA and a win over Fordham last weekend, earning her Big West Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sept. 20. This is her second Big West weekly accolade of her career.

Saddler recorded her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the year to lead the Titans to a 2-0 record at the Brea Embassy Suites Titan Classic. On Friday night, Saddler led all players with a 20-kill aerial assault over the seventh-ranked Bruins as she led her Titans to their first-ever win over a ranked opponent in school history. The win also snapped a 14-match unbeaten streak with UCLA dating back to 1980. She added two aces, 11 digs and a pair of block assists in the five-set victory.

On Saturday, the Big West's leading hitter continued with a 16-kill, 10-dig performance to hand Fullerton its second consecutive win, and third out of their last four.

Over the course of the two-day event, Saddler averaged four kills and 2.33 digs per set. For her efforts, the junior outside hitter was awarded the Embassy Suites Fullerton Classic MVP Award, her second tournament MVP honor of the year.

Others nominated: Megan McConnell (Cal Poly), Brittany Williams (Cal State Northridge), Caitlin Ledoux (Long Beach State), Kari Pestolesi (UC Irvine), Mallori Gibson (Pacific)
