Cal State Northridge defender Dylan Riley picked up a pair of clutch goals for the Matadors over the weekend, netting him Big West Player of the Week accolades.
The senior helped CSUN extend its winning streak to five after the club won both matches at the Prego Italian Express Invitational in Dallas, Texas.
Riley started the tournament by registering the game-tying goal in the 75th minute against Tulsa Friday, then followed that up with a 69th minute tally against host SMU that proved to be the game-winner. The two scores were his first two of the 2009 season.
For his efforts, Riley was named the Tournament MVP, claimed a spot on the All-Tournament team and was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
Others nominated: Brett Finkelstein, Cal Poly; Spencer Thompson, UC Irvine; Luis Silva, UC Santa Barbara
