John Parham’s single to right-centerfield proved to be the decisive hit in the first of two games played at Matador Field between the Cal State Northridge Matadors (14-19, 3-5 BWC) and #16-ranked Cal State Fullerton Titans (21-9, 4-4) as centerfielder Jeff Pruitt touched home plate to end a fifteen-inning, two-day marathon to give the Matadors a 5-4 victory in the first game of a three-game series.

Gauchos Pound Out 15 Hits, Defeat UC Davis, 14-1

For the 12th time this season, the UC Santa Barbara baseball team banged out at least 13 hits and it was more than enough on Friday afternoon at UC Davis' Dobbins Baseball Complex. As three pitchers held the Aggies to one run on six hits, the Gauchos' offense pounded out 15 hits - including five extra-base hits - in a 14-1 victory over UC Davis.
