Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge shared the Big West weekly softball awards as CSF's Samantha Dollarhide was named the Player of the Week, while the Titans' Ari Cervantes and CSUN's Debbie Duran shared the Pitcher of the Week accolade.
Dollarhide Powers Titans to Impressive Showing at Garman

Samantha Dollarhide (Tustin, Calif./Beckman HS) was a nearly impossible out during the Judi Garman Classic, netting her Big West Player of the Week accolades.
The freshman tallied a .538 (7-13) batting average, a homer, five RBI and posted an impressive .571 on-base percentage to lead the Titan offense. She collected multiple hits in three of the five games, including her first career homer against #23/20 DePaul.
Dollarhide also drove in three runs against Bowling Green, drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh against #9/8 Oklahoma and scored the game-winning run against #3/t-2 Washington after doubling to get on.

Debbie Duran (San Jose, Calif./San Jose City College) shared the Big West Pitcher of the Week award after outstanding performances last week.
Cervantes, a sophomore, went an impressive 3-1 with a 1.50 ERA at the presitgious Judi Garman Classic, winning games against Texas, #9/8 Oklahoma and #3/t-2 Washington. After shutting out the Longhorns and allowing just two earned runs against #23/20 DePaul, Cervantes allowed only 10 hits and four earned runs in back-to-back wins over the Sooners and Huskies.
Duran, a junior, delivered a Herculean effort in the circle last week, pitching 37.0 innings and posting a 0.76 ERA in the process.
After opening the week with a five-hit, one-run complete game win over Texas, Duran followed that up with an eight-inning win over Texas Tech, allowing nine hits and two runs. After picking up two more wins against Miami (OH) and Iowa State, Duran completed her week with a two-hit, two-two run complete game victory over San Diego State.
